Safe, Cheap & Effective Homemade Cleaners

All-Purpose Cleaner

2 cups water
2 tablespoon vinegar
½ teaspoon borax

1. Mix in a measuring cup; stir until borax dissolves completely
2. Transfer to a spray bottle
3. Wipe clean with a clean cloth

Tile and Linoleum Floor Cleaner

½ cup white vinegar
1 gallon warm water

1. Mix in a bucket
2. Apply with a mop – no need to rinse

Wood Floor Cleaner

¼ cup white vinegar
1 gallon warm water

1. Mix in a bucket
2. Apply with a mop – no need to rinse

Glass Cleaner

¼ cup vinegar
2 cups water

1. Mix in a spray bottle
2. Wipe with old newspaper

Wood Furniture Polish

½ cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon olive oil
Few drops of lemon oil (optional)

1. Mix in a spray bottle
2. Apply with a clean cloth, shaking regularly
3. Reduce the olive oil if wood looks too oily

Sink, Tub and Tile Cleaner

½ lemon
Borax

1. Dip the lemon half in the borax powder
2. Scrub surface with the lemon
3. Rinse


Toilet Bowl Cleaner

¼ cup baking soda
1 cup white vinegar

1. Sprinkle toilet bowl with baking soda
2. Add vinegar and wait a few minutes
3. Scrub with a toilet brush


Drain Opener/Cleaner

½ cup baking soda
½ cup white vinegar

1. Pour baking soda down the drain, followed by vinegar
2. After at least 15 minutes, pour boiling water down the
drain
